Beetdelicious Smoothie

Beets contain a LOT of betaine, a type of antioxidant that’s evident in its rich, red-colored roots. The beet root is also good source manganese, folate, B2 and potassium, supporting bones and muscles. Just look out… too much turns your pee red LOLLLL. Below is a fast and easy way to get beets, spinach AND powerhouse turmeric!

Yield: 2 (1 serving = 16 oz)

Total time: 10 min

Ingredients
2 tbsp shredded beets
4 tbsp hemp seeds
3 cups water
1 cup frozen berries
1 frozen banana
Handful of spinach
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp turmeric
1-2 tbsp nut butter
1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
1 tbsp coconut oil (optional)

Directions
1. Start by blending the beets, hemp seeds and water for 1 min.
2. Add the remaining ingredients and blend them together for another minute.
3. Serve!
